Virginia football scores on 2nd down against No. 4 Ohio State

Virginia’s season-opening loss to Ohio State on Saturday night was not the only game to fall short of the two-point conversion mark.

The Cavaliers, who have gone 1-2 on the year against No-4 Ohio State, also had to defend their first-ever loss to Virginia Tech in the Hokies’ 23-20 loss on Nov. 3.

That loss was a result of a Virginia Tech punt return that was intercepted by freshman tight end David Givens.

Virginia then failed to convert on its next drive and failed to score on a fourth-and-goal at the 2:10 mark.
