Largest college football game ever: Largiest college football ever: 10 games covered by Fox News
FOX News has announced the most-watched college football event in U.S. history, the College Football Playoff championship game, has been the biggest event in the U.K. sports industry since 1984.
The game drew more than 9.4 million viewers from the United Kingdom and Ireland, the most of any college football broadcast since the 2011 Rose Bowl between the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide.
The tournament drew 1.9 million viewers in the United States, which is the highest-ever audience for a college football championship game.
The top four teams from each conference and the two top seeds from each league will advance to the semifinals and the champion will face the No. 1 seed in the final.
Fox News reported the game was the most watched college football telecast since the 2012 Rose Bowl, when ESPN’s coverage drew 1 million viewers.
The NCAA announced the championship game will be shown on the UTV network in the UK and in the European market on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2019.
